GEOINFRA was entrusted with the preliminary design of bridge abutments and foundation for a 48-meter Bailey Bridge over the Tilawe River, aimed at facilitating monsoon preparedness. The major tasks carried out included:
- Field reconnaissance and visual assessment of riverbanks for foundation planning.
- Review and evaluation of available data to determine appropriate bridge configuration.
- Identification of suitable foundation depth and bearing strata based on site characteristics and client-provided cross-section data.
- Preparation of preliminary drawings, design basis report, and general arrangement layout.
- Development of abutment design and structural configuration aligned with DoR and DIO Hetauda standards.
- Estimation of quantities and costs consistent with emergency bridge installation norms.
- Recommendations on foundation treatments, gabion applications, slope protection, and erosion control for both short-term stabilization and long-term safety.
